If your looking for cheap snowboards then our number one piece of advice is don’t buy new.  Cheap snowboards are usually poor quality and represent poor value for money.  If you want a cheap snowboard then go for a quality used model.

The fact is that snowboarding enthusiasts are always looking to upgrade their kit and will often trade boards two or three times a season.  This means you can get a quality board, in great condition, at a very attractive price.  Now that’s the kind of cheap snowboards we like.

Where do we find a supply of cheap snowboards that are still quality items?.  Well the best online sources are the usual.  eBay and Craigslist.  However, you can always try speciality retailers who will often offer trade-ins and then look to sell these on to people like you and me.

Make sure you go for a reputable brand when looking for cheap snowboards.  Do your research on the company website and don’t be afraid to shop around.  Some of our favourite brands include Burton, Flow, Lamar LTD/Limited and Rossignol.

In writing this article I found a Burton Cruzer available in A1 condition for just $89.  This board retailed at $230.  Now that’s the kind of cheap snowboards you should be looking for.  On eBay if you are patient you will pick up even bigger savings.  Just remember to check out the sellers feedback carefully before bidding and you can’t go wrong.

So cheap snowboards can be great quality.  Buying used really is the way to go if funds are tight.  And remember the better the board the better your boarding experience will be.
